Tee Forming / Collaring- branching-machine

In the area of pipeline construction more and more branch connections are realized with tee forming techniques and collaring machines. These have a lot of advantages compared to welded purchased parts:

  • Improved flow pattern
  • Lower weight
  • Less joints
  • Reduction of costs through saving of fittings, branch saddles and welding seams

Area of application:

  • Plant construction as example for food processing industry, paper conversion, chemicals industry, textile industry and pharmacy (minimisation of clearance volume)
  • Exhaust side of combustion engines
  • Automotive lightweight construction

T110 working cycle:

In the first step the pilot hole tooling is mounted to the T-110 machine by the operator and the elliptical pilot hole is milled according to the preset settings (picture on the left). In the second step the collar forming takes place (picture in the middle). In the last step trimming of the collar takes place to remove unevenness for consecutively welding (picture on the right).

Technical information:

  • Maximal run tube wall thickness of 4,5 mm (depending on pipe diameter)
  • Diameter of branch minimum 26,9mm stageless to maximum
  • Available branch size tools: DN20 stageless up to DN100 (DIN ISO)
  • Possible run tube diameters: DN25 up to DN250 (DIN ISO)
